GoochlandCares has been a safety net for our community since 1952. Our mission is to provide basic human services and health care to our Goochland neighbors in need. GoochlandCares envisions an equitable community in which all persons have their basic needs met, empowering them to lead lives of self-dignity and well-being.

I shop at the Food Pantry every week and I use my credits at the Clothes Closet to get household items and clothes. For the first time in my life, I get regular dental care. Last year, Financial Assistance paid a utility bill. I would not have been able to keep the electricity on that month. Coming here is like coming to see friends.

September is Hunger Action Month and there is SO much you can do today to help fight hunger right here at home!
The leaders at United Church of God Glen Allen and NRI Vasavi Association made sure that the children we serve were are ready for school with supplies in the GoochlandCares Clothes Closet! For many struggling parents, a backpack with essentials is a huge relief for stretched budgets. Thank you!
