GoochlandCares has been a safety net for our community since 1952. Our mission is to provide basic human services and health care to our Goochland neighbors in need. GoochlandCares envisions an equitable community in which all persons have their basic needs met, empowering them to lead lives of self-dignity and well-being.

I shop at the Food Pantry every week and I use my credits at the Clothes Closet to get household items and clothes. For the first time in my life, I get regular dental care. Last year, Financial Assistance paid a utility bill. I would not have been able to keep the electricity on that month. Coming here is like coming to see friends.
When I think about GoochlandCares, it puts a smile on my face.”

Every quarter we are grateful for Goochland Pet Lovers for collecting supplies for pets in need. Thank you for your support of the GoochlandCares Food Pantry!Our quarterly pet food drive for GoochlandCares is happening this Saturday, September 12 at the Goochland County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center from 12pm – 5pm!
Donations of pet food help local families who are struggling to make ends meet continue to provide for their beloved pets. For some families, a bag or can of dog or cat food can make a big difference when they’re deciding how to stretch their budget.
By donating, you can help make sure pets have the food they need while helping families keep their pets happy, healthy, and at home. ❤️
If you’re able to help, stop by the shelter this Saturday with a donation of pet food and help us fill the pantry for our neighbors and their pets!
After the long weekend, we needed a little help! Thanks to these special GoochlandCares Clothes Closet volunteers who came in this holiday weekend to turn over our price tags and make sure we are ready to open this week.
