Clothes Closet Gets Windows

Staff and Volunteers Look Forward to Serving Clients and Customers in New Space

As a manager, Charlotte thinks operationally. A larger space means the Clothes Closet can utilize more volunteers to process donations get them out on the floor more quickly. Having a separate door for donation drop offs means clients and shoppers don’t have to squeeze through the same space. Improved layout will allow staff and volunteers to implement streamlined point of sale processes to make check out easier, and, for clients using credits, more private.

Charlotte is most excited, however, for our clients. She knows some clients without transportation are able to arrange for Food Pantry pick up and our medical transportation service will get them to appointments at the Clinic. But they are not able to get to the Clothes Closet. So they go without items they need. With all programs under one roof, clients can easily access all our services. And for Charlotte and the Clothes Closet staff and volunteers, serving clients is the most important thing. “We continually strive to better serve them because we care about them and want them do to well.”
