GoochlandCares is pleased to share a generous donation that funded the purchase of a new, refrigerated cargo van for use in their Food Pantry. This gift comes from Page Auto Group, a longtime GoochlandCares champion, and through a grant from the HDR Foundation. The new vehicle has already hit the road in 2026, and significantly expands GoochlandCares’ ability to transport donated food and fresh produce from locations across the county.

The new van will help GoochlandCares Food Pantry to glean donated fresh food from over 20 grocery stores every week and pick up large donations from community collections while reducing spoilage of good food. It will also be used to move produce from GoochlandCares’ primary produce partner, Silo Hill Farms. Silo Hill provides 20,000 lbs. of fresh produce to the Food Pantry. This van joins the fleet of 8 total GoochlandCares vans on the road, between the Transportation and Food Pantry programs
