GoochlandCares offers Transportation to registered clients, empowering them to reach essential appointments and other critical destinations.

To be eligible for Transportation, you must be a registered GoochlandCares client, be a resident of Goochland County, and meet one or more of the following guidelines:

  • Be over the age of 65 and/or
  • Be an individual with a disability (please notify us) and/or
  • Be an individual with a low income (see guidelines here)

We provide rides to the following locations:

  • All GoochlandCares appointments, registration appointments,  and program visits like Food Pantry and the Clothes Closet
  • Other medical, dental, mental health appointments and local pharmacies
  • Local grocery stores
  • Goochland Department of Social Services
  • Goochland YMCA
  • Goochland Library

Van Schedule:

Monday: Henrico & Richmond, 10am to 1pm

Tuesday: Goochland, 9am to 2pm

Wednesday: Goochland, 9 am to 2pm

Thursday: Goochland, 9am to 2pm

Friday: Henrico & Richmond, 10am to 1pm or Goochland, 9am to 12pm

Please note:

  • This van does not travel south of the James River nor past VCU. This schedule is subject to change.
  • Rides to locations that do not require appointments (grocery store, Food Pantry, etc.) will be scheduled around other appointments.

To schedule a ride appointment, please contact the Front Desk at (804) 556-6260. Registration with GoochlandCares is required prior to scheduling Transportation.
