5/17/2012 FROM SALLY GRAHAM, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR:
I am thrilled to announce that GFCFS is the recipient of this year’s Virginia Health Care Foundation’s Alumni Achievement award.
This award is presented annually to a former VHCF grantee that has demonstrated remarkable success in sustaining itself and continuing to grow after its “graduation” from VHCF. The award comes with a $10,000 gift from Wells Fargo,
The following chart was included in the nomination and illustrates our health care services’ growth since the 2002 VHCF nurse practitioner grant.. I have attached the nomination document in case you would like to read more.
YEAR | MEDICAL VISITS | DENTAL VISITS | MENTAL HEALTH VISITS |

2010 | 4620 | 1791 | 289 |
2011 | 5537 | 1911 | 445 |
* The number of dental visits reflects patients seen at the Goochland “Mission of Mercy” (MOM) dental project coordinated by the clinic in 2008.
Congratulations to the Board, staff and volunteers who work hard everyday to make our success possible. Thank you for all of your dedication and endless energies. And, although we’re honored by the award, the real winners are our patients who receive high quality medical, dental, and mental health care through our programs.
Hats off to all of you!
Sally
