Goochland Free Clinic & Family Services Relocates Family Services Programs Temporarily While New Building is Under Construction – New Food Pantry Distribution Hours During the Week Starting March 13, 2017, Goochland Free Clinic & Family Services (GFCFS) will be relocating the Family Services programs such as the Food Pantry, Critical Home Repair, Financial Assistance, Domestic & Sexual Violence Services, Case Management, GED/ESL , and Registration to 2931 River Road West (across from the Goochland Courthouse complex in the former Goochland Prep Academy building). The Free Clinic and the Clothes Closet remain in their respective locations with the same operating hours. In the new location, Family Services will maintain the same business hours: Monday through Thursday at 9am to 4pm and Fridays at 9am to 3pm. Due to limited space and parking, the Food Pantry will expand food distribution hours to the following: Monday 1-3pm Tuesday 1-3pm Wednesday 4-6pm Thursday 9am-12pm The relocation is in anticipation of the construction of the new building for GFCFS where all eleven critical assistance programs including the Free Clinic, Family Services, the Food Pantry, and the Clothes Closet will be located in one place starting in early 2018. This temporary relocation will not affect GFCFS clients in receiving services. GFCFS administrative offices including the executive director, finance office, development, and volunteer services will relocate to 2913 River Road West, Suite G (in the same office complex as Bella Sicilia Italian Restaurant). Business hours will be Monday through Thursday at 9am to 4pm and Friday at 9am to 3pm. GFCFS would like to thank everyone for their support and understanding during this exciting transition as GFCFS moves towards its vision. GFCFS plans to build a 20,000 square foot building on the current site of the Family Services’ offices at 3001 River Road West as well as convert the existing main building into emergency housing.
